Hi there! I hope you’re doing wonderful.🥰
At the beginning of the week, I checked on my garden and felt excited because the tomato plants were looking beautiful. They were a couple of feet tall, which was perfect.
The next day, I popped out to grab some herbs and discovered those perfect tomato plants were not so wonderful anymore. Some deer had passed through and enjoyed the tomato plants for their midnight snack.
I told hubby, “I give up!”
Going forward, my focus is on pollinator-friendly flowers and a variety of herbs. Easy and fun.
We have a ton of farmers' markets around here. I love the idea of supporting local farmers and removing the stress of growing veggies myself. Plus, I will have more time to focus on my books and food blog.
Speaking of that…
I’m leaning towards August 15th for Cherish My Heart (Crystal Shores Book Four) release date. My late cat, Paco, had a birthday on August 15th. What a great way to celebrate him and get excited for a new Crystal Shores book.
If you’re new to the Crystal Shores world, I added Light My Heart (Crystal Shores Book One) in a promo for one month. You can grab Sarah and Eddie’s story here. The book includes two recipes.
A new chapter is available for the No Rules Required serial.
A little teaser:
“Wait a minute.” Lola ran over to stand next to me. “What was that?” She pointed at my face and then at the phone. “Did you just get a text message from Jules?”
“Yeah, why?” I quickly shoved my phone in my pocket.
“What color did you say my cheeks were a few minutes ago?” She leaned her forearm on the chair.
“Oh, don’t start.” I pushed at her shoulder and tried to leave the room.
“Stop,” she said sternly. “Talk.”
“About what?” I stopped almost at the doorway
She moved closer. “This is a big deal, Olly.” She grabbed my hand. “You swore off women after your divorce.”
“Not technically.” I sighed.
“Olly.” She rolled her eyes.
“Okay, fine. I did.”
*No Rules Required is a free serial for YOU and decided by YOU!*
CUTENESS OVERLOAD!
Juno is not bothered by the heat. She will sit outside for hours. I have to make her come in and get water and something to eat. She’s adorable.
We found her in Tucson, so I guess it makes sense. I call her my little desert kitty.
Until next time,
Sending love and donuts🍩, Terra
P.S. If you have a garden, are you having success this year? Share your pics because I need to live vicariously through you.
